Dispatch 9

Field Notes - Dispatch 9 – Palm Desert

Hello Fellow Adventurers!

This is just a quick note to let you know that I have posted a new photos at www.twinters.com if you would like to look at them. They include the horse hopping rodeo from Sunday.

Car Advice: If you are considering purchasing a Lamborghini do not kick the tires or attempt to pry open the hood to look at the motor. This sets off the proximity alarms in the car being examined and all of the other Lamborghinis in the immediate area. They sound like a pack of wolves howling for vengeance. MR witnessed just such a occurrence at the Palm Desert Rodeo. The chap who actually made this mistake was quickly restrained by several large security men, escorted out to the decorative picket fence, and booted over it.

MR says that guy was a knucklehead. It became obvious that it is difficult to dicker on price when being booted over a picket fence. It puts a fellow in a very weak negotiating position.

I bet that fellow's arms and tail bone still hurt.
